Our graduate programme will see you taking on live projects in nine-month rotations across the business. You’ll immerse yourself in our work, finding new ways to keep our insurance brands at the leading edge in terms of pricing. And in return, we’ll support you as you study towards your Actuarial qualification.
To thrive, you’ll need or must be expecting at least a 2:1 in an analytical degree such as Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Philosophy, along with a real hunger to make an impression.

How much money does a claim settling in ten years need to have put aside for it? It’s our call. The work you’ll do will have a positive effect on every one of our market-leading brands. You’ll help recommend reserves, analyse trends and monitor claims development – all with the aim of identifying where profitability lies.
Pricing & Underwriting
Whether you’re recommending pricing changes to our Personal or Commercial Lines businesses, you’ll have a clear impact on our success. You’ll deliver competitive advantage by shaping innovative pricing strategies and building a business-wide understanding of emerging trends.
Marketing Insight
Marketing Insight use data to understand our consumers better than anyone. This feeds the development of our customer, brand and marketing strategy and improves the effectiveness of marketing through better targeting and measurement. We bring clear customer frameworks to the business – such as customer segmentation – and invest in our analytical and data capability in order to stay ahead of our competitors.

Our internship programme is an eight week summer 2011 opportunity to get involved with live projects across the business. You’ll immerse yourself in our work, finding new ways to keep our insurance brands at the leading edge in terms of pricing. In return you’ll gain an insider’s view of what it takes to work with one of Britain’s top general insurers.
